How to Close or Delete Your Copperx Account

If you decide that Copperx is no longer the right platform for you and you wish to close your account or request deletion of your data, you can do so by submitting a formal request. This article walks you through the process and the conditions you need to meet before your account can be closed.

Before You Request Account Closure

Account closure cannot be processed if your account has any of the following:

  1. Pending balances β€” Your Copperx wallet must have a zero balance. Make sure you have withdrawn all your funds before submitting a closure request. If you need help withdrawing, refer to our withdrawal guides first.

  2. Active compliance holds β€” If your account is currently subject to a compliance review, transaction hold, or any pending investigation, your account cannot be closed until those matters are fully resolved. Our team will notify you once your account is clear.

If both conditions above are met, you are ready to proceed.

How to Submit a Closure Request

  1. Send an email to [email protected] directly from your registered email address. This is required to verify your identity and confirm that you are the legitimate account holder making the request.

  2. Subject line: Use something clear like "Account Closure Request" or "Request to Delete My Account."

  3. In the email, include:

    • Your full registered name

    • Your registered email address (same as the sender)

    • A brief confirmation that your balance is zero and there are no holds on your account

    • Whether you are requesting account closure only, or full data deletion under applicable privacy regulations

What Happens After You Submit the Request?

Our support team will review your request and confirm that all pre-conditions are met. You will receive a confirmation email once your account has been successfully closed. If there are any pending issues that need to be resolved first, we will inform you and guide you on the next steps. Account deletion may take 10-15 business days.

Data Deletion

If you wish to have your personal data deleted in line with applicable data privacy regulations (such as GDPR or India's DPDP Act), please make this explicit in your closure request email. Note that certain records may be required to be retained for regulatory and compliance purposes even after account closure.
