The following documents are required to complete your KYB verification as a business based in India.

That your company is legally registered — issued by the Ministry of Corporate Affairs (MCA)

Shareholder structure document

Ownership breakdown of the company — submit any one: Shareholder Register, Register of Members, AOA, MOA, or certified Shareholding Pattern

Company structure document

How your company is organised — Articles of Association (AOA) or Memorandum of Association (MOA)

Proof of registered business address

Bank statement not older than 90 days — must show company name and address

Proof of nature of business

Confirms active operations — invoices issued to clients or service agreements with vendors or customers


UBO and director verification

For every individual owning 20% or more equity in the company, the following are required:

  • Government-issued ID — PAN Card, Aadhaar, or Passport

  • Proof of address — bank statement or utility bill not older than 90 days

  • Liveness check — real-time selfie verification

All directors must also submit identity and address proof.


For sole proprietorships

Certificate of Incorporation (COI)
An official document issued by the Ministry of Corporate Affairs (MCA) confirming legal incorporation.

  • Where to obtain: Downloadable from the MCA portal using your CIN

Shareholder structure document
Lists all shareholders and their ownership percentage.

  • Accepted documents: Shareholder Register, Register of Members (MCA or internal), Shareholder Agreement, or certified Shareholding Pattern

Company structure document
Outlines the governance structure, internal rules, and shareholder rights of the company.

  • Primary: Articles of Association (AOA)

  • Alternative: Memorandum of Association (MOA)

  • Where to obtain: Filed during incorporation, available via MCA portal

Proof of registered business address
Confirms the company's registered address.

  • Primary: Bank statement not older than 90 days showing company name, address, and at least one transaction

  • Alternatives (specific cases): GST Certificate, Utility Bill not older than 90 days, Lease or Rental Agreement with landlord's utility bill

Proof of nature of business
Confirms active operations and legitimate business activity.

  • Accepted documents: Invoices issued to clients, service agreements with vendors or customers

UBO and shareholder information
Identity and address verification for all individuals owning 20% or more equity.

  • Required documents: PAN Card, Aadhaar, or Passport for identity; bank statement or utility bill not older than 90 days for address proof

  • Liveness check required for each UBO

Director information
Identity and address proof for all directors.

  • Required documents: PAN Card, Aadhaar, or Passport; bank statement or utility bill not older than 90 days

Representative information (if applicable)
If an authorised representative is acting on behalf of the company:

  • Required documents: Identity and address proof; Board Resolution or Power of Attorney confirming authority
